Craig is a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, Maryland. He attended Barrie Day Montessori School until 3rd grade and then was placed in Gifted and Talented/Magnet programs within the Montgomery County School system until his high school graduation. After graduating from Montgomery Blair High School he went to the University of Illinois, majoring in Aerospace Engineering but following a family tragedy, moved back home and transferred to University of Maryland where he majored in Computer Science.
Craig married his "destiny", Tia, in 2000. He is the father of two daughters, Anaiya and Caelyn and son Alex. Craig and Tia made their home in Germantown where they still reside.
In the fall of 2006, Craig was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates, defeating a 12-year incumbent. He serves on the Ways and Means Committee and is a member of both its Education and Revenues subcommittees. He also served on Montgomery Delegation's Land Use and Transportation Committee.
Craig received the MAYSB 2008 Advocacy in Action-Legislator of the Year award for his tireless efforts on behalf of the youth and families in Maryland. He is active in many organizations that benefitted from his tenacious support including Youth Achieve, American Council of Young Political Leaders, Maryland India Business Round Table, Young Elected Officials Network, Germantown Alliance and the NAACP.
He has worked with Fortune 500 companies like Marriott International and Aramark Corporation and served as a business development manager for the Government of Puerto Rico.
In their spare time, he and his family enjoy hikes through Seneca Creek State Park, fishing and bowling.
